1. Introduction
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our mobile application ("App") and associated services. It applies to all users: Main Users, Support Persons, and Content Creators.
By using this App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Data We Collect
a. Information You Provide:
- By entering mental health-related preferences or emotional triggers, you consent to our collection and processing of sensitive data solely for improving your wellness experience. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
- During Registration: Name, Email, Password, Date of Birth (Main Users only), Role Selection, Relationship Details, Credentials or Bio.
- Profile Setup: Emotional triggers, goals, and mental health preferences, Consent settings.
- Content Creation: Text, media, and links posted by Creators.
- AI Conversations: User responses and interactions with the AI assistant.
b. Automatically Collected Data:
- Device & OS Information, IP address, App usage statistics, Location data (if opted-in), Push Notification Tokens.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Deliver personalized dashboards and mental health tools.
- Facilitate AI-driven check-ins and self-assessments.
- Enable communication between Main Users and their Support Persons (only if consent is given).
- Display appropriate social content and alert notifications.
- Moderate and improve service performance, security, and user experience.
4. Sharing of Data
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We only share data under the following conditions:
- Our data is stored with third-party hosting providers compliant with ISO 27001, GDPR, and Australian data sovereignty standards. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.
- With Support Persons: Only if Main User consents.
- With Admins: For moderation and support.
- As required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. AI Assistant & Sensitive Data
- Conversations with the AI assistant are private and stored securely.
- The AI is restricted from offering medical or crisis advice.
- AI behavior is configured for therapeutic tone and moderated for emotional safety.
- The AI assistant is not a licensed therapist, doctor, or crisis intervention service. It cannot provide emergency assistance or professional advice.
- AI-generated responses are based on user input and configured parameters but may occasionally misinterpret or oversimplify complex situations.
- You are solely responsible for decisions made based on AI interactions. Triggr disclaims all liability arising from reliance on AI-generated information.
6. Location Permissions
- Triggr collects location data only if you explicitly grant permission within the app.
- This data is used exclusively to deliver relevant notifications in high-risk or recovery-trigger zones (e.g., near licensed venues).
- We do not track or monitor your location in real-time unless you have activated location-based features.
- Location data is stored in a de-identified form and never shared with third parties beyond essential service providers.
- Triggr complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and GDPR in the processing and safeguarding of location data.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your data.
- Withdraw consent.
- Request deletion of your account.
- Opt-out of notifications or location services.
- File complaints with data protection authorities.
- If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, your rights are protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- If you are located in Australia, your data rights are governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
8. Community Conduct & Content Guidelines
- Users, including Support Persons and Mentors, must not post content that is harmful, abusive, misleading, or exploitative.
- We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or report content that violates our policies or puts users at risk.
- Any illegal use, promotion of self-harm, or targeted harassment will lead to immediate suspension and may be reported to authorities.
9. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures:
- Encrypted data transmission (SSL).
- Password hashing.
- Role-based access control.
- Security audits and logging.
Data Breach Notification Policy:
- In the event of a data breach that may compromise your personal information, we will notify affected users as soon as possible, in compliance with the Australian Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme and any applicable regulations.
10. Data Retention
- Data retained as long as your account is active or required by law.
- Inactive accounts archived or anonymized after 12 months.
- You can request deletion anytime.
11. Children’s Privacy
